September 27th 2009 Ü The RYE/HAMSTREET CLASSIC BIKE JUMBLE returns to Marsh Road, Hamstreet in Kent on the A2070, six miles from J10 off the M20. October 24th Ü The EGP AUTOJUMBLE opens 10am at Kempton Park racecourse near Sunbury. Huge bikejumble with around 250 outdoor and indoor stalls, five mins from J1 off the M3. Admission £5. www.egp-enterprises.co.uk / 01344 883961

October 25th 2009 Ü The SOUTH OF ENGLAND CLASSIC BIKE SHOW returns to the South of England Showground at Ardingly near Gatwick. Excellent array of bikes displayed under-cover in a super venue. Range of awards for various classes plus all entrants go home with a commemorative souvenir. Enter your classic early, because places are limited, or ride along on the day to enjoy the bikes, club stands, autojumble, trade stalls and refreshments. November 1st 2009 Ü The MALVERN REALCLASSIC BIKE SHOW opens 10am to 4pm at the Three Counties Showground at Malvern (J7/8 off the M5 or J1 off M50). Club stands, private entries, all kinds of classics, indoor trade stands and outdoor jumble. 01484 452002 or www.classicshows.org.

The LLANGOLLEN MOTOR MUSEUM combines classic bikes, cars and memorabilia with an excellent sense of humour and that family-run feel. Closed November to Feb. 01978 860324.

WHITEWEBBS MUSEUM houses an excellent collection of historic vehicles (including a floor of two wheelers) in a fabulous renovated pumping house at Enfield, near J25 off M25. 0208 367 1898.

The motorcycle museum at STANFORD HALL is a living display with frequent changes of exhibits of racing and vintage bikes. Plenty else to see there, too, and a nice tea room. Near J19/20 off Ml by Lutterworth. Open March 30th to September 29th. 01788 860250.

The SAMMY MILLER MUSEUM now has two new galleries of Norton and competition machines, plus tea-rooms and craft shop. Open lOam to 4.3Opm, admission £3.50, Bashley Manor, New Milton, Hants. 01425620777. Take all day to wander around the NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM nexttothe NEC in Brum. Closed just on Christmas Day, opens lOam to 6pm and has a great bookshop too. 01675 443311. The HAYNES MOTOR MUSEUM welcomes you to view the 50-or-so bikes which nestle within the huge Haynes collection. Closed only for Christmas, otherwise open lOam until 4pm at Sparkford, near Yeovil. 01963 440804.

The LAKELAND MOTOR MUSEUM at Cumbria's premier stately home, Holker Hall, has over 10,000 exhibits on display. As well as automobilia, classic cars and other vintage transport the collection includes Bob Mclntyre's 1962 Manx and a TT-winning 1914 Rudge. Open April to October, six days each week (closed Saturday). Admission £6.50 for adults.01253 698333.

The OGR1 CAFE welcomes riders to drink cappuccino and eat good grub at Wessons, High Street, Horam, Sussex. Opens six days each week from lOam, closed Mondays. 01435 813999.

The LONDON MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM opens lOam to 4.3Opm on Saturday and Sunday, admission £3, at Greenford near the A40, 0208 575 6644.Lots of good Triumphs on display particularly prototypes.

The MUSEUM OF BRiTISH TRANSPORT might also interest you; there's plenty of Black Country stalwarts included within Coventry's transport history. Open lOam to 4-30pm. 01203 832425.

The NATIONAL MOTOR MUSEUM at Beaulieu offers masses more than just motorbikes, including a comprehensive library, photo collection and film archive - but there's a complete gallery of classic two-wheelers, too. Open all year but not Christmas Day from lOam to 5pm. 01590 612345.
